after i make the snapshot in a pendrive will it load as live if i save it in a usb stick?
Yes, if you use MX Live USB Maker to write it to the thumbdrive in full-feature mode. I always keep a spare thumbdrive set aside, and redo and reburn the snapshot about once a week. I also back up everything in my home directory including hidden files and folders to an external hard drive. Then if something happens I can reinstall my personalized MX along with the apps I've added, restore all my data, and I'm up and running again with little or no data lost or wasted time reconfiguring MX and reinstalling apps from scratch. What would ordinarily be a disaster becomes a mere annoyance.

In a nutshell: MX Snapshot is one of the best things a pc user can do in his/her life :)
You can either start it as live-session and use "your own distro" from usb, or install it back on "any pc" (with same architecture) back when needed :) (Can be used as a whole system backup)
P.S. In case you can't see an install icon on live-session when you want to install it back, open a terminal and: sudo minstall
Also one can use Rufus on Windows or "dd" or "cp" on any Linux distro terminal to write the iso (other than MX Live USB Maker)...

I have ungergone the disaster scene once in past, I have made a post for it too it was due to dual boot and windows repair wiping my whole drive to blank and me being newbie to MX did not know it's full potential. At last I was able to recover all things I needed but I realised the importance of backing up.

Meanwhile, here's a live example: The MX I'm writing at the moment is actually my snapshot iso that I installed back a few months ago :).. Went on as if nothing happened :)

To make it clear: After you installed and saw it was working, you were (at least once) able to connect to internet but now can't .. Or never connected ? (Sometimes, tiny things cause frustrations.. When you right-click on the icon on panel, are the top 3 boxes ("enable ...") checked? If not, do that )

Never connected even once. I assumed it's showing wifi signals so it is working. Checked a day later to connect for the first time and not once got connected.
it is all ticked right. enable networking , wifi, notifications all are ticked right.

Though the device itself looks working:
Bluetooth conflicts with the wi-fi at 2.4 Ghz. So,
Menu => Session & Startup => Application Autostart tab: uncheck Blueman , Reboot.
https://docs.xfce.org/_media/xfce/xfce4 ... ostart.png
If not again: Enter router settings (192.168...) change 802.11 mode from b/g/n (or "mixed") to b/g or g only (discard "n" mode as some devices have problems with that).
While you're at it, select a fixed channel, preferably Channel 1 , rather than "Auto" .. Apply ...

i dont have any bluetooth devices to begin with. still disabled blueman.
i have a router i dont know what to change in 192.168.... but changed mode from b/g/n to b only and tried connecting the hotspot it does not connect. if i change in edit connections the channel and band setings for the desired wifi signal and press save, the rtl8188fu just makes new connection with same name but a number added in suffix. for example
before editing connections wifi signal name shown is marshal, after editing connections and saving , and then i try connecting by going from panel and network then an extra signal with same name but a number added is shown in edit connections and the one i saved earlier is just not used to connect i.e marshal 1.

i think i should just stop worrying about it its just the wifi card that i am trying so hard to connect but why not buy wifi card which connect linux and to checking it does beforehand is a desired scenario to avoid these shenanigans.
