Realtek 8188eus(after getting a solution actually rtl8188fu) wifi usb not detected after driver make and install

#1 Post by Vipul88 »

I have updated kernel to 5.1.2 from mx package installer stable repo by searching 5.1.2 in it and installing two packages after that.
I have followed instructions mentioned in the github link as follows,
https://github.com/quickreflex/rtl8188eus
The command make and sudo make install works fine,
Lsusb shows realtek semiconductor corp.
Iwconfig after make and make install adds,
usb0 no wireless connection
After which I reboot and iwconfig does not show usb0 anymore
It just shows l0 and eth0
Command I have used
Cd rtl8188eus
Make
Sudo make install
Reboot machine.
All this should work but no detection after this.
Please someone help me.

Please read How To Ask For Help then run MX Tools/Quick System Info and do a right-click paste into a forum reply. (Quick System Info automatically copies the information to your clipboard, already formatted properly for pasting into the forum so all you have to do is a right-click/paste, not a copy/paste.) Thanks.
Please read the Forum Rules, How To Ask For Help, How to Break Your System and Don't Break Debian. Always include your full Quick System Info (QSI) with each and every new help request.
