MX Package Installer (also Synaptic). Under first tab (Popular Applications) you have category named: Kernels. There are several to choose from. This is how you install them. To then run one of these newly installed kernels, at boot menu, choose advanced options and you will find in there these newly added kernels. There is also systemd version, you should try that one as well.

Generally speaking, if it also don't work on another computer, chances for bad hardware increases. Unless you have on another computer also MX, same version. There is possibility, your driver is just not properly installed. It can be tricky sometimes. This is why I sugested you also try other Linux distros, but windows would be the best. If you have windows on your other computer and printer still it is not working, chances of faulty printer ot cord is then high.

Do you see how I'm guessing what you may have done. What OS is installed on another computer?!? You just don't feel like giving much information, right? Even after I took time, explaining you steps to do (did you tried some other distros, Mint, Arch based...?) and document everything then come here and post all your data, so we can be able to help. But you are as vague as you can be.

There is a lot of very very patients members here. I admire them. But I'm not one of them. I will let other more patient members here, to beg you for more data.

i tried linux mint and debian 12 and lubuntu the printer work fine

i tried mx 21.3 64 bit version but same result i tried on other computers didt work one thing i did't try is to switch to older kernel from 21.3 because i dont know how to do it

You can try to install 4.19 kernel from MX Package Installer, then select that when booting (from Advanced Options on Grub) then try ...

So which is it? We are getting a little sick of this dance you are having with an 8 - 9 year old, suspect, Canon laser printer.
