AVL-MXe 23.1 keybindings in Terminology

This is going to sound really dumb, but I can't figure it out at the moment.
I use keybindings wherever I can, and in Terminology probably most of all, with two exceptions.
I cannot highlight text, with the usually standard terminal input of Ctrl+Shift+C, or Ctrl+Insert, with the intention of pasting that text somewhere else. The paste command doesn't work either. (Ctrl+Shift+V)
There's nothing in the settings list to imply these commands are recognized, but bind -p shows me the bindings are present.
I've scoured the interlink for Terminology rumours and whispers of standard keybindings not working, but if they're not working for others, they're keeping it quiet.
EDIT: The keys don't work in xterm either. Pressing Ctrl+Shift+C acts the same as Ctrl+C and stops anything on the CLI, in both apps.

EDIT: Ignore this. I'll investigate further. It's the same behaviour in two other terminals i've installed and tried.
