Ah, so that probably explains the hibernate platform disabled message in the QSI.
I don't think that's fixable on my end. and quite frankly, it may be by design. But will look into reports.
At least knowing the cause, it will make support queries easier.

Quick short feedback installing sysvinit version of xfce. None of those "systemd-syxv generator [605]: ! This compatibility logic is deprecated, expect renoval soon. "
Because well duh, no systemd on the system. The other notices about my harddrives

Pardon the spelling of the words again *snort* LOADS less of those. I think this version suppresses them after showing one time or something?
My system SEEMS calmer with it, but then again, it looks like I am used to while booting, so.. it is likely just me. Login on nouveau looks the same as on systemd, screencut wise of the second screen, same screen compression on that driver.
Will test more tomorrow, provide QSI and such, and see what gives with nvidia on that, it miiight be a better fit for the jitter, only time will tell. Time now says bed

according to the A.I. overloards, the linux kernel disables hibernate on the platform level when secure boot is used due to some security risk in loading the hibernate image.
this information may be out of date, but seems to be valid at least for debian and secure boot.

Oh yeah.. before I forget.. I always only disable splash on the bootup screen and set the wait time to 3 seconds in MX Boot Options, and the default boot option is 23. Nothing else is changed. Since the install with both the default MX25 and sysvinit MX25 (I have overwritten the default with the sysvinit, complete clean) I first get the grub screen with the entries in it, like 25 on top, 23 somewhere further down, windows... after a bit that disappears, and the next screen comes up, telling me WHAT it is booting (like the kernel version and such). Just two lines or so, but still.
However, that last screen remains empty when booting back into 23. When I boot to 25 it does show kernel and second line 'loading initial ramdisk' or somesuch.
I have done a sudo update-grub when back in 23, but that doesn't fix this little window here in the screenshot.

mate-color-select is less than 1 MiB despite using the mate-desktop package. It should be possible to save custom colors in the Palette section, but maybe it requires additional MATE libs.
I removed OnlyShowIn=MATE; in the desktop file.
MX-25 XFCE Beta (systemd) is running great so far. Thank you devs!

MX25 KDE fully updated wersion.
Strange thing, in mx-packageinstaler there is no tree like structure to define kernels or remove it. After install last highest 6.15 liq was install.
Boxes install was fast but is not working with X11 or wayland
mx 23-6 kde was working with boxes without problems
boxes from flatpack work without problem.

according to the A.I. overloards, the linux kernel disables hibernate on the platform level when secure boot is used due to some security risk in loading the hibernate image.
this information may be out of date, but seems to be valid at least for debian and secure boot.
@Jerry3904
Thanks for the info; perhaps this needs to be presented to users in some way, in the user manual maybe?

Thanks for the flag. @dolphin_oracle is going to be reviewing that exact section this weekend so I'll just follow his lead.

Beta 1 KDE :
- while updating through Discover, the download progress bar doesn't ... progress anymore.
- I'm a bit surprised that Firefox updates are a 280 MB package (while it might be less as it installs rather quickly).

Hello,
I'm on KDE Beta 1.
Issue is with boot repair tool. I recreated the same issue on two MX 25 installs and also tried recreating it on an MX 23.6 install under the same condition, however, it worked perfectly on MX 23.6 which tells me the issue is specifically to MX 25.
Goes like this: I've encrypted the root partition during installation, however when I try to use the boot repair tool's 'repair grub configuration file' option, I get the error "Process finished. Errors have occurred." and "LUKS device requires a password for /dev/nvme0n1p5". I do not get a prompt to enter the encryption password.

As I've said I installed MX 23.6 with the same exact setup on the same exact machine and the tool worked fine and I got the encryption password prompt.
Should also be noted that when I use a live medium to update the grub configuration file of the installed system it also works just fine. So the issue only occurs when using the boot repair tool on the installed MX25 operating system and attempting to repair the grub configuration file of the same installed medium.
