One question, I am a newbee on the DE KDE Plasma , how you can save your setting and manage your desktop customizations in KDE ?
By hand, or via a tool like this one:
https://store.kde.org/p/1298955/
Description: This is a widget to save and manage your desktop customizations, you can save your current desktop customization and it will list all your past saved ones, you can restore the customization with just one click, also you can export/import customization to other machines.

@fehlix I can duplicate this on a lenovo T530. if I disable the grub theme, I get a text menu rather than a black screen. with the theme it's a black screen.

@fehlix this worked on the lenovo T530 as well.

OK, would disabling the theme by adding this line:
to the file grubenv.cfg on the LiveUSB at
also work? ( without the line "terminal_output console" at last line in grub.cfg)
And would it show the default background?

This is not at all a post about beta testing. Can you please copy it and post it somewhere more appropriate? Thanks.

Yes, but no ... I do some tests actually and I have to redo for each reinstall the custom config. So it is interdependent.

no, the menu is not displayed at all.
for what its worth, the debian 13 live isos have the same behavior.
for reference, the old templates from before the grub update work on live, with the new graphic even.

Well here is a web search on your question to start with:

lol ... via your wormhole icon ;-) , I have already done it but I prefer the advice of MX developers or expert users here in KDE Plasma 6.
Edit: konsave seams fine (but only for plasma 5 only right now) but plasma 6 has more config files.

Still think it's a damn shame that the ability to use both systemd and sysvinit was removed because that was a unique feature of MX Linux AFAIK but it is what it is, I guess.

I'm testing MX 25 Xfce beta 1 in VirtualBox at the moment, if it makes a difference. I've been looking forward to the new version
- I use the Windows and Arrow keys to tile windows to the left or right of the display (or top or bottom). Currently tiling two windows that way leaves a gap between them in the center, as well as a gap between the windows and the panel
That's a "feature" of the mx-matcha themes. We added a few transparent pixels around the outside to make the border easier to grab.
At the moment the solution is to use a different theme (may I be so bold as to suggest trying mx-ease).
@YetAnotherID
To clarify in more detail, the transparent pixels is a feature of the mx-matcha WINDOW MANAGER (not gtk) theme, in order to make the edges grabbable
while hiding the extra thickness of the edges.
You can mix and match the WM themes that you use with your gtk themes; you don't have to use the same WM theme as your gtk theme.
Go to the Applications menu and search for "Window Manager". This is the settings program that sets WM themes (among other tasks). Choose from the listed themes. You can find mx-ease's WM theme there. You may also wish to try mx-activeColorborders. This theme has grabbable borders but does not seek to hide the extra one or 2 pixels of border thickness. In this theme, the colour of the window buttons and edges of the active window follow the mouseover/selection/highlight colour of your gtk theme. Hence the name "active colour".
There are also a few other WM themes whose names include the words "thick" or "hidpi" or "xhidpi". These also have extra grabbable borders, or they are WM themes that are enlarged for people with hi-resolution displays on which normal WM themes look tiny.
