Please pardon any typos, etc. Eye strain.
If an MX developer is reading this, please fix the issues with Greybird as the Theme and restore it to how it behaved prior to the mx 23.5 and xfce 4.2 upgrades.
This will be greatly appreciated, certainly by me and I am sure many others.

I'm not a developer, but I wonder what this means.
Literally: what does this mean? Greybird has not changed for me. If only there was some kind of visual representation of a before and after picture that could provide an unambiguous representation of what "restore it to how it behaved" could possibly mean.

I noticed that upgrading to 23.5. from 23.4 which was installed clean, was many many changes in 2-3 updates over a few days time -so far. The only snafu on my laptop was doublecmd not being able to fully display the names of files all of a sudden. I rolled it back to 1/13 six days ago, rebooted, and it only fixed it after another full clean boot. I initially thought it the upgrade components in spurts as the culprit but then thought because there is a special version of doublecmd in synaptic I'd just have to wait for a fix for doublecmd as there was not a single other problem. I just want to know why boot logs still say 23.4 but everything else is reporting 23.5?
Other than that it is perfect.

best to start your own thread to report the problem you are facing with doublecmd.

Regarging the word "developer", I meant to say Maintainer, of the new, MX Linux 23.5 w/xfce 4.20.
I will take screen shots of what I am talking about re:Greybird .I am now using MmX Comfort as theme and will take screenshot of that as well. In this, icon backgrounds remain unchanged, as in the Greybird, all earlier distros of mx23.

Here are the Screenshots. Same screen, one with Tweal Theme- -Greybird, and next with MX Comfort. Note the icon text backgrounds. In the obvious one, I have Terminal open, If I click on the background, icon text returns to normal.

As per this topic, you can fix the icons very easily.
Right click on your desktop and choose Desktop Settings, then Desktop Icons tab
-- Check Font Color
-- Check Label background color

Sorry. Does not work in greybird. Gets even worse, much worse when try to alter text backgrounds.
May you never know
