the beta and RC release will get updates. if any packages have been added, and there are a few, those will not be added automatically. any default setting changes may show up for new users, but not for existing users.
upgrade your ventoy to the latest version. we submitted a patch long ago, and it was confirmed to be working.

The installer refuses to install RC1.
The requested partitions cannot be prepared.
