I had a laptop like this to repair; I eventually found that only one of the aerial connections to the wifi card had ever been pushed on! The owner insisted it had been like it from new, and was very impressed with its subsequent performance.m_pav wrote:I will test when I get to work in about 12 hours. I have a laptop that has a flaky wireless card. If it's too far away from the access point, (like 15 feet!) it will not connect, but when I bring it closer to the AP, it connects, then it works fine for the rest of the day and holds the connection for up to 35 feet before it drops the connection.
This P3 multiboots MX14rc2, antiX 13.2, SolydX, and WinXP, hence the "old hero" moniker...inxi -Fzxx, after a pause to reflect, wrote:System: Host: D815EEA2 Kernel: 3.12-0.bpo.1-686-pae i686 (32 bit, gcc: 4.6.3)
