Updates on Zoom software. Solved
I have recently tried to get on zoom for the first time in a long time for a meeting . Running MX 21 and the newest update seems to me 5. something. Zoom is sayint I need 6. something? Is this going to be updated or do I need a newer version of MX? Thanks

Check the Flatpack section of MXPI to see what the current available version is.Dieselrider wrote: Wed Feb 26, 2025 6:12 pm I have recently tried to get on zoom for the first time in a long time for a meeting . In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Launch MX Package Installer (MXPI) --> tab over to Flatpacks --> search for Zoom. In MX 23, the Zoom flatpack version is 6.2.6.2503

Did that and it took awhile to down load, but does that now over ride the regular repository and open the 6.2 version? The synoptic still only shows the 5.2 version in there.

Re: Updates on Zoom software.
I was able to download the Debian version from zoom itself and install that.

That's because the new version was not installed through the Debian (apt) system. The synoptic still only shows the 5.2 version in there.
