Connection Failed: br-connection-page-timeout

as the title says, Bluetooth doesn't really want to connect.

When the pc is just re-booted then there might be a short-lived connection, < 30 s. After that connection is lost, new connection attempt results in "Connection Failed: br-connection-page-timeout".
This on two different PC, both MX 23. 4 (see below QSI for one of the PC:s). Worked fine earlier .... let's say one or some weeks ago.

I have searched in this forum for earlier solutions, but no real success. In that context I note that
blueman version 2.3.5-2+b1 installed, latest in Test Repo
libspa-0.2-bluetooth 1.0.0-1~mx23+1 amd64

$ sudo apt list pipewire
Listing... Done
pipewire/mx,now 1.0.0-1~mx23+1 amd64 [installed,automatic]
pipewire/mx 1.0.0-1~mx23+1 i386

one user reported success with re-installing pipewire, but it seems to be installed already. I can oc do that but just avoid so not to mess up further.

Consider post #7 in this thread from the Lenovo forums:
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yog ... -p/5051213

and this thread from Github:
https://github.com/blueman-project/blueman/issues/2048

There are lots of other references i could cite and the gist is that this is a known problem with the Lenovo Slim 7. You might be better off just purchasing a known good Bluetooth USB dongle.

Thanks for your suggestions, but I doubt very much that these issues (with 2 different PC) are hardware based.

One PC is a Lenovo Slim Yoga, the other one is a "Shenzhen DOKE product: MP80", they have different BT chips (QSI for the MP80 is attached below).

The following experiments were performed on both PC:s:
1) re-boot from a Live-USB MX-23.4. Files/folders on the USB are dated 8th October 2024. On both PC BT worked fine, it was easy to connect to other BT devices and use for some time (~5 min).
2) re-boot from the dual W11 (home version for Yoga, prof for MP80). On both PC BT worked fine etc etc.

Also tested to de-connect the MP80 from power (it lacks battery) for some few minutes and then re-boot MX-23.4 from the SSD. No luck at all.

OK, I might have played around with the file systems on MP80, but not so much on the Yoga. Then I doubt this is something I have done.

So, in summary:
the very same issues on two different PC with different BT chips.
both PC works BT however fine with a month old Live-USB 23.4
both PC works fine with W11.

HW issue not very likely then.
As I lack insight in upgrade changes since early October I lean towards something in the upgrades - one must blame something unknown.

All ideas and assistance are very welcome !
