Well, Linux is not Windows so not directly. That company does have a Linux beta version of the latest, Studio One 6.5, but only for Ubuntu using the Wayland graphics stack. It might work in MX if you modify it to use Wayland - but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.

You should be able to get it working to some extent under Wine but the winehq site, which rates how well certain Windows programs work (Gold, Silver Bronze Garbage) is not terribly encouraging listing it as "Bronze" - but that's an old test under Wine 5.4 (latest is 9.4) so it may be better now.

You could try running it with Bottles: https://flathub.org/apps/com.usebottles.bottles
Or Codeweavers Crossover, which is a little better: https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover

I haven't bothered to buy Crossover. I've had good luck in using Bottles in many cases.

Running a Linux native application has been the best solution for me.
You can check for alternatives here: https://alternativeto.net/software/stud ... form=linux

Hi,

I'm a bit puzzled why you aren't using the Linux-native cross-platform DAWs provided in AV Linux to begin with? Ardour, Reaper, Harrison Mixbus are all top shelf DAW's and are also available for Windows and OSX, the Linux versions work great! AV Linux even allows you to run many Windows VST Audio Plugins seamlessly in Linux DAWs. There are also other popular commercial DAW's like Bitwig available for Linux..

Using a Linux Audio platform to exclusively run Windows DAWs is really just asking for an unsatisfying mess and not at all what the intention of AV Linux is..

Going to ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ should show you the folders of the installed applications and opening the folders of the unwanted apps should have an 'uninst.exe' or other files with some uninstall name that you can run in Wine to uninstall..

Getting rid of apps that you would not use, MX Package Installer (part of MXL software) is good thou I still use Synaptic Package manager but teaching myself to use MXPI more and more, if you are uninstalling things like baloo etc DON'T uninstall software that is directly linked to the systems data, if in any doubt at all Please ask.

If it's software you installed should bee oK if it's software that's part of MXL some notable things are Baloo Please before you remove (uninstall) software that is linked to the systems data.
Check the extra info panel as to what will be removed at that time if the list is long DON'T uninstall untill you do some searching or asking.

Believe me there is not much worst than crippling your install DIY (self inflicted pain) and if you don't already please do start using Timeshift (safety net) and BackInTime (or other similar software)
