New to MX just want to say Thanks

#1 Post by ZooBoo »

Hello MX Community,

My first post.

So, I just installed "MX23.1 Minimal" on my trusty old Acer Aspire One, and I am loving it. I ran different flavors of Crunchbang starting with Waldorf which was based on Debian Wheezy, and until last month when I switched from Crunchbang++ Debian Bullseye to MX23 Minimal.

And I am so glad I made the switch. The minimal version has been a pleasure to setup, and frankly with no hassels, no doubt a testament to the work of the entire MX Community. Also, this modified MX edition has saved my old netbook friend for another year or two god willing.

I'm not sure of the user name who created this personal respin, but thanks again for all of your time and effort, Hopefully, you see this post but if not maybe somebody can let you know . :happy:

You are welcome glad you like it, I removed pretty much all the apps from the regular release to create this minimal ISO, let me know if I broke anything, or maybe whether I should remove more stuff.

@Adrian :

FYI: I am running "MX23-Minimal" in a VM (Virtual Box), and am rather enjoying it.

I don't use it often, but decided to try it out when testing software, e.g. "VSCodium", via MXPI.

I haven't had any issues with it, and everything seems to work.

I'll keep testing it out.

Thanks for the Respin :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:

:cool:
