Mx kernel

Hello, I used Mx a lot as my main system but today I use another base with xanmod kernel because I have an old nvidia gt710 and I use the proprietary 390xxx driver... well,
I installed mx xfce on the second partition but it only uses open source and upc drivers, can I change the kernel and use the old nvidia driver? Or are you just using the old Mx? Thanks.

What do you mean when you say that you
switched the base?

The nvidia-legacy-390xx-driver is in repos and it should be ok at least with the default 6.1 kernel.
Just start "Nvidia Driver Installer" from menu and it will tell you all.
(Also when that driver is installed, if you install any other kernel later, it'll tell you during process if it's incompatible .. as "Bad return status ... Nvidia.. blah blah ...")

Please be more specific about changing which kernel to what and on what system.
Possibly of concern, xanmod kernels are usually built on a newer gcc than Debian stable, which makes the proprietary Nvidia driver install error out because of gcc version mismatch. You may be able to tell it to ignore this and go ahead.
6.6 kernels will also need patched Nvidia drivers in our MX AHS section.
