NVIDIA Proprietary Driver unable to resume KDE Plasma Wayland Session from Suspend state

A known issue seems to exist where with NVIDIA Proprietary Driver, upon placing a computer in Suspension state, it is not possible to resume a KDE Plasma Wayland Session.

The problem is documented here.

A workaround seems to be pressing Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to start a new session.

NB: A default X11 session resumes fine.

Nor happening in openSUSE Tumbleweed, where NVIDIA Driver is 535.86.05.
