does anybody know of an off the shelf package to share a vpn over wifi connection over a second wifi adaptor?

I have seen some recipes especially lan connections over wifi, but the ones that look like they might be made to work involve quite a few changes to iptables, and I don't really feel confident enough to get into that.

Any ideas?

You can use NetworkManager for this.

When you plugin your 2nd wifi adapter, setup a new WiFi connection. Give it a recognizable SSID (e.g. xusers hotspot) and on the WiFi tab select mode Hotspot. On the IP settings select Shared to Other Computers and save the connection.

Once you have it working you might want to look into nmcli if you are comforable at a command line.

I do this for guests occasionally.
