Xerolinux/G

#1 Post by davidy »

I tried Xerolinux. Systemd with kde plasma in arch. My only real gripe was opensnitch will NOT install in arch. Everything I use it has except for password safe and anything it doesn't there are appimages for. I tried the xfs file system and btrfs. Great features and plasma works well. I then built the XeroG gnome version ISO, and after booting, the installer would NOT run at all.

Xero, the dev, wants everything easy but what he's not familiar with he does not use or build on. If you're into arch, for some reason, his build is awesome. If you just want everything to work and don't want to be bothered with kde nightmares just stick with MX like I'm doing now.

Clonezilla v3.0.3-10 loves MX on a coreboot system. And so do I.

BTW, to go from password safe to keepassxc, export to xml, import to keepass (not xc), and then use that db for keepassxc.
