hard drives
hard drives
Hello,
I use 3 hard drives: one for Software, one for my files and one for backup files. The software drive is activated because there is the OS installed. But I always have to activate the access to the two other drives manually. In the system settings / removeable media I already tried any configuration. But I still have to start access to the other hard drives manually. What can I do that access will start automated.
Kind regards,
Sigurd

Re: hard drives
The Disk Manager is no solution. I want that with the start of MX Linux all three hard drives are available.

Re: hard drives
Are those drives visible in Disk Manager?

Re: hard drives
Of course, you can do without the disk manager and make the corresponding entries in the fstab yourself, if that seems more convenient to you.

Re: hard drives
Disk manager, yes !
My experience, is if they appear in the disk manager (as Eadwine Rose asked) you check the box.
If you reboot, the drives will be auto mounted. The disk manager is just a nice front end that does that fstab work for you.
If they appear, check the box for the drives you want mounted.
Try a reboot, I bet they will be there.

Re: hard drives
May I suggest also gnome-disk-utility
I use it to auto-mount at startup, encrypted external disks.

Re: hard drives
Disk Utility does not change anything. Usually you can mark drives you want to be automatically mounted in the system settings. But nothing there works. I will attach a screenshot of these settings (in German).
