Flameshot Opening to ImageMagick by Default

Hi-
Flameshot has recently started, by default, opening to 3 instances of ImageMagick instead of GIMP. I can select GIMP each time, but I want it to default to GIMP, which I use all the time.
Looked through Flameshot configuration and could not find anything that would change it back to the way it was working before.
Tried to uninstall ImageMagick, but it wanted to uninstall conky manager and neofetch with it.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks for any input.

You have a problem with Flameshot, which is not solved by removing an application without which a dozen other applications no longer work.
So I have now installed flameshot and opened the window so that it shows me all the graphical applications.
I don't have Gimp, so I would probably use Lazpaint.
Flameshot was never my first choice, I used to use Shutter, which also has an integrated image editing function.

although I have not found anything where I could set a default.
Maybe just delete (or edit) the configuration file.
/home/username/.config/flameshot/flameshot.ini
edit: After trying the Appimage and the Flatpak, the question is which version are you using because:
MXPI Stable: old but works
Appimage: does not work at all
Flatpak : works limited, but shows me under the applications always only the first from a group, so for image editing Darktable (for me)

wdscharff-
Thank you for your reply.
My image defaults are set to open .png, .jpg, etc., with GIMP.
Flameshot's configuration indicates the default as .png.
ImageMagick does not appear to be among applications, but Synaptic indicates that it is installed - seems like somewhat of a "ghost" app.
No Flatpac or Appimage - installed Flameshot through Synaptic stable.
I did not uninstall ImageMagick because it would have taken the other programs, otherwise it would have been eliminated immediately.
