Same MX forum webpage twice? Why?

#1 Post by Duliwi »

Hello,

Why are some webpages in this forum twice or more?

Here is an example:
1. https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 8&start=30
... is identical with ...
2. https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... h=03d78ea8

Interested in an answer. Thank you.

I don't know but both topic links are the same: https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 8&start=30

Also post links, say post #31: https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 16#p704916 on both.

(So, actually pages are not double)

That's normal phpBB (the board's software) behaviour. Look at the links closely. They are all viewtopic.php followed by a list of options.

f = forum id
t = thread id
p = post id
start = page starting with post number
uid = user id
unwatch=topic = the command to remove the thread from your watchlist

etc.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
