Problem with applications starting automatically

I have a problem with applications starting automatically:
For example, "Clementine" is active after system startup.
But when I call ""session and startup", there is no entry for Clementine there.
Are there other places in the system where I can find and disable this autostart?

Xfce has a "saved sessions" feature that will start applications that were running at shutdown. YOu can try clearing the saved sessions.

Thank you, but unfortunately THAT does not help.
Of course I had finished "Clementine" before the last shutdown ...

Is it by chance present in ~/.config/autostart? Otherwise I don't see how it would start, either from saved sessions or from that folder.

Let's make it sure (and step by step)
  • Close all unwanted apps , then "Session and Startup" - "General" tab, uncheck "Automatically save session on logout"
Reboot.

P.S. Just a normal (user) terminal, no root, no sudo etc..

If still not: do the reverse: When all are closed, check that to save the session, reboot, then uncheck again, leave so..

Have now found the cause:
Since I shut down my system with a script, unfortunately this session (in which "Clementine" was not running) was NOT automatically backed up. Instead, the last saved session was a very old one in which "Clementine" was running.
Sorry, that was my mistake.

Then, you can mark the thread, like this:
