Dear people

On an ASUS X505ZA Linux Mint Debian Edition with kernel 4.19 was installed until yesterday. Then installed MX 19.4 ahs. Since first rebooting, LCD was dimmed about 10 % every booting, did never store last setting (100%). Now found a working solution:

Code: Select all

sudo sed "s/\(GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=\)\"\"/\1\"acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor\"/" /etc/default/grub -i

Code: Select all

sudo update-grub
Solution found here: https://www.unixmen.com/fix-lcd-dimming ... ce-0-8-10/

Best regards
Sigi
