Cinnamon on MX 19.1
Hi everyone, I installed cinnamon on MX 19.1 but on restart the cinnamon session does not appear ... can cinnamon be installed on MX 19.01?

log out then at the login screen explore the dropdown menus in the upper right. One of those lets you select the DE you want to log in with.

You are right but on reboot there is no cinnamon dropdown menus in the upper right

Yes, but also I restart session o change user there is no cinnamon dropdown menus in the upper right

As far as I know there is no MX 19.01 version.

did you download cinnamon from the repos?
i haven't tried that one but i have installed mate, plasma and budgie from the repos and they all show up as a session option

I do a Desktop shortcut to exec a DE or WM and add it here.
/usr/share/xsessions
I had to do this when I install Pekwm. Example; pekwm.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Name=Pekwm
Comment=Use this session to run Pekwm as your desktop environment
Keywords=window-manager
Exec=pekwm
Icon=
Type=Application
Then the drop down menu at the Display Manager it will appear to start using it. Just do the same with cinnamon.

Perhaps a screenshot should be provided by OP to make sure we are talking about the same thing when he says there is no cinnamon dropdown menu in the top right.
