Running on a 2009 Macbook Pro [Solved]

Greetings. I thought I would share this recent experience. I was given a 2009 Macbook Pro with an Intel core duo 2.26ghz and 2g of RAM. I've been an MX fan from the start, running it on my upgraded PC.
Even after an update, it was slow as molasses. So with nothing to lose, I decided to try and install MX 19 on the laptop.
First, the fact that I could boot MX live was encouraging so I proceeded with an install. Low and behold, the installation,
(full Hd wipe) went as smooth as it could go. Then, holding my breath, I rebooted and sure enough I found myself on the familiar XFCE desktop. Ever since, though this lappy could use more RAM, a new battery (45% max charge) and an SSD to
speed it up, it's been running steadily.
So kudos to the team at MX for just the best distro out there in a cornucopia of linux offerings.
