Online Database--- technical terms (Multi-lingual)

#1 Post by manyroads »

Because people (like me) would benefit from having access to a dictionary of technical terms in multiple languages... I am starting this thread.

My inclination as a hype-geek :lipsrsealed: is to offer the notion that we create a member editable dictionary of terms. It should include whatever language people feel like maintaining. I'd suggest:

English
French
German
Greek
Russian
Polish
Japanese
Chinese
Hebrew
Arabic
...

Perhaps we could use a multi-colum Google spreadsheet for such a 'thing' Or perhaps there is a tool or plugin for this site forum software that would enble this sort of 'document' creation.

If the moderators think this is a bad idea, feel free to kill the thread.

Otherwise if any of you have ideas and wish to pitch in, "have at it."

Google docs sounds like a good compromise.

Any other translators have vocabulary or glossary to share? This would make for more consistency over languages.
