PM Outbox delay

Curious to know why private messages get held in the Outbox for such a long time before being sent?

They show held until the recipient opens them.

Interesting, and as a side effect does that mean you can edit your message as long as its held and the recepient will see your edits?

You can edit it within 3 minutes. The recipient will see the final edited message when they picks it up, not the original.
