Board Time

#1 Post by richb »

For those in areas that observe DST, please adjust the board time if necessary. In the User Control Panel>Board Preferences>
Summer Time/DST is in effect:
tick the No radio button. (Only needed if you had Yes checked during DST).

Thanks Rich. I hadn't noticed that it didn't change automagically.

Or the Yes radio button if you're in the Southern hemisphere.

Thanks, Rich. I had remembered this time, but a reminder is always useful.

sheesh - it's that time of the year
:frown:

- fortunately, this side of the universe doesn't suffer from that disease.

- but trying to deal with "the wise people from the east" - can be more difficult.

Here we changed over a few weeks back. I understand there are some places in the world where DST is not observed
because the residents believe that the extra sunlight will rot their curtains, also there's a farmer living north of me who
does not change his clocks because the difference in milking time upsets his cows!

One year I delayed setting the clock in my car to (or from) DST and just put up with it being an hour off. Finally in a fit of virtuosity I set it to the correct time. The next day the time changed again so the clock needed to get set back.

Back when I still had a cat with diabetes I had to adjust the times that he got his insulin shots starting about a week before, every day by ten minutes, to end up at the new time when the DST changed around. Annoying to say the least, but ah well

My Paternal Grandmother kept two wall clocks side by side. One set to the Government time and one set to God's time.
