It's even worse, it means she doesn't even trust me over some conspiracy theory...
Find the person that she most trusts in your local community and ask her / him convince her otherwise.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Not much I can do, this person would be my uncle (her brother) who's precisely in the same mind frame, maybe even worse (face masks are useless, Covid doesn't exist, persons who got the jab are lab rats, well you get the gist...); and I'm talking about people who've had higher education (master's degree).

I had to cancel my tomorrow appointment for the first injection (Pfiszer or Moderna).
Living at my mum's at the moment, she simply forbade me to get the jab, because she read on the internet I could be six times more infectious once vaccinated and therefore infect her...
Well I could still get the injection, but then I would have to leave the house.
I'm quite in an impasse.
Get it anyway. It would be for HER own good. You don't have to tell her.

Indeed, I should have kept my mouth shut and done it without telling.

That's what I told her. Besides, I'm diabetic, so I might develop a more serious infection if infected. But it's as if she doesn't care at all...
I'm starting to think that if I got infected, then so be it.

I'm not comfortable with hiding this under her roof; the atmosphere is toxic enough.

First shot of AZ on Saturday. Minor sore arm, felt a bit rough all day Sunday, 100% fine today (Monday). I have started to fancy a Microsoft Surface though. Coincidence????

Have you actually been to a doctor about this, or does your mother think doctors were created by Lucifer after he traded his soul for a double cheeseburger?
Go to a doctor and follow the doctor's advice, not blanket "vaccines are bad" and "just get the jab anyway" advice that's irresponsible, wreckless and potentially life-endangering.
Many people are reporting issues (not necessarily over here) such as fatigue, black-outs, blood clots, etc. You mentioned you have a pre-existing medical condition. A good medical practitioner will advise you about this; you don't want to end up with a worse situation than you already are in.

I had the Astra this morning, with a second dose booked 12 weeks ahead, in the over 50 category, feeling quite normal 14 hours later.
I did, however, notice an immediate boost to my wifi signal. :anifish:

Ouch! Maybe we will be out of luck with the 'safe' nuclear reactors too... :p

Now back to our scheduled programming...

When I got the first shot four weeks ago (Moderna) I had no side effects. I felt good and went right back to work. But I had dose two on Wednesday and that night I had the chills and I was dizzy. Yesterday I was very sore (although it's hard to tell if it was the vaccines since I'm sore all the time anyway) and had more chills and a temp of 101.5. I'm feeling better today but will give it another day off before I go back to work. (I get on roofs and climb ladders and scaffolding so I need to make sure I'm not dizzy).

I've had a craving for a Surface Pro for awhile so I don't think it's related to the shots. But the craving always subsides when I see the price. :p
