I too have been experiencing Firefox crashes on some, but not all, web pages. I've tried changing the Firefox setting gfx.canvas.accelerated from true to false, as suggested previously, but the crashes still occur.
When Firefox crashes these are the messages displayed in the console window:
Firefox_Console_Output.txt
As posted by others, the first line is displayed as soon as Firefox is launched. The remaining lines are displayed just before Firefox crashes. Here is a typical Firefox crash report:
Firefox_Crash_Report.txt
I've seen comments on the web that this behavior could be a graphics driver problem so, at their suggestion, I've run "vainfo -G":
vainfo_Output.txt
but it's unclear to me if this is useful. These are the drivers currently installed on my system:
installed_Drivers.txt
Those same comments suggested using the "radeonsi_dri.so" driver (I don't know why) but I don't know how to do that.
As a side note, I do recognize that my graphics hardware is rather old.
I'm at a loss as to how to proceed further. As it stands, I'm hesitant to use Firefox since it crashes rather often. Some posters have reverted to the previous version of Firefox and that stopped the crashes. I'm willing to try that if someone can tell me how to do it. Otherwise, I'm open to any other suggestions.
Thanks for reading this far!

Did you also try this?
Settings: search for "hardware acceleration".. uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available".
Close FF, restart.

If still not, uninstall FF (you can simply use MX Package Installer)
then, 109 are available here:
64 bit:

32 bit:

No, I did not change "hardware acceleration". Following your suggestion I brought up "settings" from the edit menu and searched for it but Firefox could not find it. When I tried switching to "Performance" under the "General" topic, Firefox crashes.
Thanks for the link to version 109. I'll try it if a fix can't be found.
Sorry I forgot the "Quick System Info" stuff in my original post- here 'tis:
QuickSystemInfo.txt

Just switched back to FF 110.1 which is an MX update and instantly crashed. So guess no real solution was ever found? baaack to 108.2 lol. Wow. Mozilla has failed us.

Actually, the solution seems to have been found, as posted in post #27 by

My problem is solved I think. I haven't had a crash all day after I changed this setting in firefox's about:config:
Code: Select all
gfx.canvas.accelerated true =====> false
Okay, I normally use LibreWolf, but I tested all the pages that caused Firefox to crash before the solution, and not a single negative outcome since.
