You probably should start a new thread, but in the interim here are a couple of possibilities:Meanwhile, how can I go about checking the wifi configuration to see what's limiting the wifi speed. ? I can google this question and see what's out there. Or if anyone on the forum has some advice for me on this it would be greatly appreciated. I can open a new question if you're not all tired of me ;-).
- for whatever reason, you could currently be limited to accessing a 2.4 GHz network. Try to access the router and then set up a new 5GHz network with a unique SSID. Once that is in place, try accessing it and see if you get a speed boost.
- it also could be a DNS issue. Here's Google's info site on how to use its public DNS servers instead of those provided by your ISP:
