Very true... for power users. But the folks I was talking about are just happy that DB (after I massaged the UI and added a couple of plugins) feels more or less like FB2K. I still have (and occasionally use) FB2K in my Windows VM, mostly because I have a "library" of conversions ready for use. I should really convert them to shell scripts 9_9

There is a new audio-player Fooyin which seems to bring some Foobar2K features to Linux.

LinuxNews (German) just had a review about it.

I dunno if this is passive aggressive but the dev even copied foobars logo.... and the alien looks p-d off now hahaha

Well, it's similar but not identical... So perhaps an occasion to wheel out Oscar Wilde: 'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.' ;)

Just a comment the two winning at the moment are already coming preinstalled, also VLC is not even mostly a "music player", people use it for playing videos and various media which other music players cannot do.
