as we near development releases of MX23, I think we will have need of a beta wallpaper. my alpha wallpaper is loud, contains pyramids and palmtrees, and a giant alpha in the background. I could use a beta wallpaper.

By the way, what is the MX Linux font that is used in the main logo? I had to do some photoshop nonsense to get the logo name off an image I found.

Unfortunately you gotta be logged in in order to get thumbnail versions of your images on Imgur, because that's Imgur for you. >_> You then gotta paste the BBCode link to the Medium Thumbnail version of the image into your post and then wrap that in url BBCode tags pointing to the direct link for the full image.

So yeah... Kind of a pain in the ass due to both Imgur and phpBB limitations together. I wouldn't worry about doing it, honestly.

Since you don't write about the specifications I assume any background picture from the repo will work well as a template.

Do you have a deadline for us.?

I should have had some more specs. I forget most of you have never seen the alpha wallpaper (not attached).

As long as it is obvious it’s a beta wallpaper. I've kept the same alpha wallpaper for several generations and I like it because it’s butt-ugly and obvious it’s not going to be a default wallpaper at release.

The beta should look better than the alpha but I’m not looking for subtle. When we release for public testing I don’t want to deal with 100 comments about the wallpaper. It needs to be obvious it’s a temporary wallpaper.

the alpha and beta wallpapers will not remain in the art set for the mx23 release

I never log in on imgur, just click on new post, upload an image and click copy link.

To post the link with preview in the forum you can use this code, just replace the pUwGTKw code with your link.
To get a forum appropriate preview size image add a lower case L and .png at the end of the download link in the img link part.

You can add a lower case m instead of the L if you want a smaller preview size.

or a lower case s if you want tiny

I made it in 3D practice, but it was
put in storage. It's also a beta in a way.
(Added "β" text.)

I personally love prototypes.
Whether it's a car or a Gundam, prototypes are generally beautiful.
It's a pity that the finished products of cars and Gundam are worse than the prototypes.
I think the ideal finish is to leave the edge of the prototype.

Yes, all your work is fine but in my opinion there is not enough excitement in it.

Would this be considered attempted bribery.?

Or will I be in school with my hair slicked back because I have violated an avatar copyright.?

Now it is almost too exiting.

you cannot use my avatar (which is my youtube channel logo) on your artwork. I own the trademark and copyright on it. I does not belong to the MX project.

I can assure you it is not meant that way and I don't understand why it can be understood like that.
For instance I also like your avatar so much I am thinking about using it (will that be okay by the way?).
But if you had asked for a wallpaper for MX, and we were many who wanted to be chosen to help, and you were to decide what to choose it could to me look more like I was trying to meet your personal taste over what was best for MX, and I did it just to be chosen. Normally something like that is not a smart thing to do because it stinks too much.
My question is mostly an attempt with a little humor to explain that I am aware of all that, but it still feels like the right thing to do.

However it is a specific task and I do try to meet the demand, and I am not sure I understand it well enough yet.
All the things that happens in the left side of many pictures I would not accept on my own computer.
But this is for testing purposes only, so maybe there will never be more than 4-6 icons to read on the desktop.?

If you want to change something just do it and republish.
If dolphin_oracle wants it differently he is the one I want to set the restrictions.

I would like this simple green.

Maybe green is too big a challenge for standard icons, so strong blue for that reason is better:
