Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
there is a duplicate mx-idesktool.desktop file under /usr/share/applications. it puts a extra entry in the menu and in the mx-tools app.
you should probably empty and/or delete the ~/.bash-history and ~/.Xsession-errors*
the bin folder in the user directory is seemingly not needed for anything, and its not in the path and not in /etc/skel
there is a custom palemoon desktop file under ~/.local/share/applications. not sure its purpose, and its not present under /etc/skel
the /etc/skel/.config/xfce4/helpers.rc file does not match the one in ~/pi, and will be wrong for new users. not sure how much it matters in a non-xfce environment.

Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
starting geany opens every text file jerry has ever opened on the pi. these files also end up populating the recent files list in the fluxbox right click menu. there is a geany configuration option to not open previously opened files. the mx geany configuration enables that option by default, among other things.
there is an extra /etc/skel/.fluxbox/.fluxbox directory.

@dolphin_oracle That extra palemoon lib may need the extension that gives the chromium look I am using. Not sure ATM

Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
Hello there. I just wanted to ask a few questions in regards to the Pi version of MX Linux Fluxbox. Will there be an xfce version of MX-Pi (I have used xfce for a long time on my raspberry pi, so if you need help with that I'd be happy to assist), and does the 'final' beta version mean that the next release will be the stable, non beta version of MX-Pi?
Kind regards,
termile

Hi -- read this:

There are no plans for an Xfce version.

Re: MXFBPi Beta 2 testing
Hello again Jerry - Thanks for the reply. The blog doesn't mention whether the Final version is either the beta version or the stable, non-release version - I would really appreciate some clarity on that so I know if I can install it onto my pi 4 and use it in the long term. Additionally I checked out the new image on SourceForge, and it seems to be a .iso file, not an .img file, meaning I can't flash it onto my SD card. Thanks again, and sorry for the inconvenience,
