this shouldn't be present:

Code: Select all

display-setup-script=/usr/local/bin/early-bg
http://www.youtube.com/runwiththedolphin
lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4 - MX-23
FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.

OK. I'm pretty sure I deleted that this morning before making the patch, so must have crossed up.

I have a break in work just now, so will go upstairs and make a *last* RC and post.

I'm confused. I did change it, and old guy was able to boot on two different monitors using the patch.

@chrispop99 is there any chance you used the wrong image?

Jerry3904 wrote: Wed Feb 17, 2021 5:25 am OK, new patch. Did DO's cleaning, commented out the line in lightdm.conf but left the file it pointed to (will remember to empty for Final), removed /home/pi/.config/autostart/lxrandr-autostart.desktop, removed the splash additions to /boot (though left one that gives me, at least so far, a completely black boot up screen):

https://rb.gy/tgf3m3

md5sum RC.patch2 6d7a15b0aa9e7aeea4c79e5a8a4718b2 RC.patch2

Command to apply in folder where both downloaded patch and B2 image are located:

xdelta3 -d -s MXFBPi_B2.img RC.patch MXFBPi_RC2.img
Jerry, your terminal command has a 2 missing in the patch file name. (I still had the old patch file in the folder.)

Booting to correct res now.

So it does! My only excuse is that it was 4 am and I make more mistakes than anybody else around here who carries the title "Developer." DO keeps a sharp eye on whatever I do just for that reason...

If you are good, then I hope people can look around a bit at the rest. I am going to do a vid tonight so I can change the center link before setting to. And I need to send DO a few late skel changes.

I should have typed it myself; I was being lazy, and copy/pasted it without reading it.

Testing it now.

WOW , good eye!

and since both of those patches are against b2, xdelta3 doesn't give an error!

Commander Pi is in the Application Finder, but is not installed. (At least not in the default user's /~) Installing it works fine.

Clicking the 'Office Suite' icon in the dock opens a broken PDF. Dismissing that opens Writer subsequently, rather than the suite.

(Trivial) DeadBeef is installed, but MP3s open with VLC.

Chris

(Added):

Nitrogen is in the Application Finder; should it be removed?

Any issues with our new Chromium backport on the Pi?

@chrispop99 Thanks. 1) Not sure why those removed packages still show up in Appfinder; seems to mean that the desktop files are still around so I will check usr/share/applications. 2) DeaDBeeF should not be there, will remove. 3) about LO, not sure about the PDF part, but the suite is all available from any component, so not sure about changing it, will think.
@Stevo Not so far, thanks for the work. It handles all the YT music and seems pretty good here to me. Users will likely swap it out for their fav...
