In any case, a reload (check for updates) sorted it out and they were gone.
That didn't work for me, unfortunately. There are really two options here:

1) from the terminal, I ran apt-get upgrade --fix-missing. That allowed 3 of the 5 updates to process. Per your comments above, we'll await the other "non-update" updates to be corrected by the team.

2) Ignore the green update box for now. Watch here for comments from the team regarding this error and its resolution. There is nothing going on with this particular update error that is user correctable. Most likely your system will run without issue with or without these updates, so no harm in waiting for a resolution.

Took some testing with several different repos but finally found one that worked. I should have thought about using good old synaptic! Or actually just waiting another day for the fix would have worked to. Thread from yesterday:

So you installed something ahs on a non ahs system, as I pointed out it was ahs.

@whell Could be that the fix needs to propagate still. Give it some time.

No I switched to the Atlanta Georgia repos since I couldn't find another repo that wouldn't keep giving me the same updates and then those AHS updates disappeared. The only ones left were the ones for my current non AHS system.

***EDIT*** There were only 2 updates that were AHS on mine by the way....

the mirrors update on their own schedules. the *.mxrepo.com mirrors are sorted already, as are many of the other faster updating mirrors.

If you don't have such (Realtek and Broadcom) wifi devices you can even purge them and get rid of.
