I can't tell you that. However, I can say that pulseaudio 5 on your kde-snapshot has a pulseaudio-kde.desktop file that launches pulseaudio with the command
start-pulseaudio-kde
and there is a script by that name that is different than start-pulseaudio-x11. the kde version loads more modules.
Here I just changed the pulseaudio-kde.desktp file Exec= line to start-pulseaudio-x11 and my seemingly random pulse crashes have gone away. The debian change logs say they did away with start-pulseaudio-kde in version 5.99.
