Most people seem to find its best use is to assign an alias (MX-14 working) or change order of listing

Well, I don't know what's different, but now a fresh install of beta 2 and click-to-flash is working fine.

I downloaded the Beta 2 and varified the md5. Could not get it to burn onto my Maxell cd's. Had to utilize a Ridata dvd to burn it onto. Live worked okay, except for the time being off 1 hour. I rechecked my BIOS clock to make sure my time was correct, and then began an install on my JUNKBOX. After install the time was off exactly 1 hour.

After a reboot, I rechecked my BIOS time (it was off 1 hour) and tried out MX-14 Beta 2 that I installed. Again the time was off 1 hour. I have been unable to correct this from within the desktop applications. :bawling: The system was shut down, coin battery was replaced, BIOS was rechecked (time was rechecked), and then rebooted to go into the beta. Time AGAIN was off 1 hour (Eastern time instead of Central time).

After rebooting I checked my BIOS. I'm not sure if 1)- my motherboard / BIOS chip is going flakey and changing the time on its own, OR 2)- the os is screwing with the time in BIOS somehow (?). I suspect the BIOS is getting flakey. I HATE unsoldering chips and replacing them on a motherboard. :lipsrsealed: :lipsrsealed: But at least this is only a single layer board.

I have had the same complaints of centi working then not working, flash headaches. But all in all this beta works good to excellent. Now to get rid of the bugs. :p

Make sure BIOS time is correct. On the installation, setup the time to not use UTC. After installation use kdesu systemsettings on a Command Line to set the time zone. Or do what um said.
Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.
