How can I remove the lib? sudo apt-get remove isn't working, as I showed earlier

its used by all kinds of applications, including part of the kde/plasma sound subsystem. you probably don't want to remove it.

Probably not if it’s a depend for a whole bunch of stuff. From the look of the limited info you’ve posted a package that depends on it will get removed but it triggers an alternate depend for a package that has a conflict.

Since that lib supports Ogg, the open source audio codec used all kinds of things including freedesktop audio, it was probably already installed

You’ve already removed Skype. I think you’re done

I assume that's something that you added manually, because it's not part of the skype package. I just installed it to check.

It also looks like you have skype installed and running.

when you want to share complete information that has been requested, and perhaps ask a question, we can continue. I'm not going to work with incomplete information anymore.

"Quit Skype - Skype" was installed by MX Updater, but I don't know from what package it is. Then after removing the package "skypeforlinux" I installed a Skype flatpak using MX Package Installer.

it was not. you have a long history of blaming the updates for a variety of issues, and routinely do not provide requested information.

We go through a lot of trouble to provide tools that allow us to provide support. Ignoring those tools makes everything a guessing game.

that said, right click on the the quit-skype entry in your menu and post the run command its using.
