Fillable .pdf Forms

#1 Post by tb75252 »

I am using MX Linux 23, 64-bit, Xfce.

What program do you recommend for fillable .pdf forms?
I have tried filing out a .pdf form using Firefox, Okular, and qpdfview but none of them work properly.

Filling out the form with Firefox or Okular and then saving the file results in a form that is blank the next time that I open the file. No filled in information is retained...

qpdfview is just unusable with the .pdf form that I am trying to fill in. Some of the fillable fields are unreadable...

If you want to give it a try yourself with the .pdf form, this is the link:
https://www.dentoncad.com/forms
The form number and name are: [50-114] Homestead Exemption (Disabled Person, Over-65, 100% Disabled Vet & More)

Thanks.

Have a look at Master PDF Editor which is recommended by @CharlesV in post #3 of this topic:

HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know if Master PDF Editor 5 (unregistered version) works well or if I should install Master PDF Editor 4 (free)?

I have master-pdf-editor-5 installed.. Works fine. I believe it is of influence if you create them, watermark gets added. But for filling out I have had no issues.

Firefox should work. Are you hitting the Download/Save button in the top right corner when you're done with your changes?

I have kept version 4 as no water mark and it still runs great.
*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!
