SMB Network Scanner script help

#1 Post by luigi.zam »

I wanted to try the script, but even after running it with the install parameter, it keeps telling me that Samba is not installed. I ran MX Samba Config and saw that Samba is running and set to autostart. Why can't the script detect it?

Re: SMB Network Scanner script help  [Solved]

#4 Post by CharlesV »

The script uses smbclient to do part of the probe, which should have been installed with samba. But this appears to be missing form your machine. ( or is not on the path )

You can install it with :

Code: Select all

sudo apt install smbclient

*QSI = Quick System Info from menu (Copy for Forum)
*MXPI = MX Package Installer
*Please check the solved checkbox on the post that solved it.
*Linux -This is the way!
