ok but, i think what op is trying to do is something "not standard" but not so unusual, so why don't you add these lines of text by default in the isos? if you don't install a qt app in a gtk DE no problem, meanwhile if you do, you are already set. i'm just asking, trying to learn.

why not? are like 300kb?

i'm new and i know that if you install a kde app on a gnome DE and vice-versa there will be some graphic problems, not a big deal and last time i tried (like 10 years ago) i resolved it in 10 minutes, but looks like something good to add by default in the isos.
i just know why everyone use windows and not linux, and is sad

because if you use qt5ct, then you need to adjust themes separately from the rest of the gtk theming. so change a theme in Appearance, then get a matching theme in qt5ct.

we made a different choice. and that's why its not included.

but I gave the way to make it work and so there you go.

I am not that familiar with all those theming engines and how exactly they work together, but i usually use

lxapperence
qt5ct
qt6ct
kvantummanager

to get all apps in a somewhat consistent theming style, but also i do have the variable QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct set.
Maybe i do saddle the horse from the wrong end :D but it is working.
