Failed to Start Light Display Manager Error

#1 Post by nudiecrudi »

hello.
i am trying to give another go to avlmxe, but i am not lucky.
i am installing it on an external ssd drive. it boots fine on the laptop i have created it, but on my main machine it shows the splash with the options and i choose systemd, but i does not really matter, and it stops with an error:
Failed to Start Light Display Manager Error
i did the same with a ubuntu flavour yesterday and it did not give any sort of problems.
i did not create it on my main machine because at a certain point the installer shows a pop up sayng something about changing gpt on the computer and pc without boot-bios or something like that won't boot, so i was scared to mess up my machine.
i don't know. please help

Hmmm,

Perhaps this is a signed kernel secure boot thing? Ubuntu probably has signed kernels and AVL with Liquorix doesn't so if the machine has secure boot enabled it won't boot the SSD?

Wild guess, I'm no expert on boot problems at all..
