AV Linux: Searching for an OMR (optical music recognition) programm

#1 Post by harley-peter »

I am new on AV Linux and need an advise. Is there a programm in AV Linux which can read/scan music sheets to make it editable and can it export in Music.XML or MIDI format.

Hi,

The only sheet music program included is Musescore and it is the most complete and actively developed sheet music program on Linux. I'm personally not a sight-reader so it would be best to go to the Musescore website and read up on its capabilities in this regard.
