edited to add that Cinnamon is also available through Synaptic.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;
In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Re: Wheres cinnamon?
Or install the cinnamon-desktop-environment metapackage from Enabled Repos using MXPI; with the recommended stuff if you want the whole load.
MXPI = MX Package Installer
QSI = Quick System Info from menu
The MX Test repository is mostly backports; not the same as Debian testing

You could always install Debian 12.8.0 with the Cinnamon desktop

Re: Wheres cinnamon?
Ive tested "Senpai_Respin_Cinnamon_MX-23.4_x64" using vbox and i like it. Still im gonna wait until i can select it from the mx tools easy install.
Re: Wheres cinnamon?
The Linux Mint Debian Edition's repository might have a newer Cinnamon that's supposed to be compatible with MX 23, but that has to be tested first.
I don't think any of the development team uses that desktop, so it could be a long wait for it to appear as a one-click option in MXPI, unless it just does what I suggested above. A lot of the recommended packages are already installed on an MX XFCE install.

Re: Wheres cinnamon?
Linux Mint's current Cinnamon version is 6.2.9 for both LM 22 Ubuntu base and LMDE 6.
You can see what versions some other distros have at repology.
