Typo fixed, thanks!anticapitalista wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 7:20 amDo you mean the 6.12 kernel?AVLinux wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 5:28 pm Dang!
The 5.12 Kernel has the full Realtime (RT) capabilities baked in without any patches, simply a boot switch to turn it on... A pretty big milestone in the kernel world, hopefully it will become the default (not that it's a very big deal to update)

@Germ What did you think of Plasma 6's default rounded floating toolbar?
I saw that when I booted KDE Neon's live ISO and didn't care for it.
(it can be restored in settings)
This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Re: Debian Trixie to Plasma 6
I'm curious if there is any change in Plasma 6 of the storage and handling of the system configuration files? I briefly tried KDE recently and it was very attractive but I couldn't believe it's bad housekeeping with the config stuff, most DE's contain their stuff in a single dot folder or ~/.config subfolder and I thought in the past KDE did too but it seems Plasma 5 didn't..

It's OK, but I changed back to the old toolbar.siamhie wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 9:52 am @Germ What did you think of Plasma 6's default rounded floating toolbar?

Config files seem to be like in Plasma 5. They are all over the place.AVLinux wrote: Wed Dec 04, 2024 10:27 am I'm curious if there is any change in Plasma 6 of the storage and handling of the system configuration files?
