After switching from nvidia to amd I input " sudo apt-get purge *nvidia* " and " sudo apt autoremove " ; every thing is working but steam , it starts updates but the playing screen flashes and thats all I get , I know that is not a hardware problem or the games I have, because I did the same in linux mint and it work perfectly ; please some advice on what to do, thank you .

You might try saving your steam folders and then purge steam, remove any / all steam configs and folders too, then reboot and reinstall steam.

Also, make sure to install steam-devices if you havent already, as that seems to help with some hardware.

The only other thing I could offer would be to try a liquorix kernel, 6.6.x

There are many people here that run steam, possibly some others would have an idea on this.
