[MX-23.2_KDE] KDE Connect Wi-Fi pairing doesn't work

#1 Post by MXLinuxKDE »

Hi,
I'm trying to connect my KDEConnect with my smartphone but this doesn't work (it worked fine with my previous Kubuntu 20.04 LTS, just replaced with MX-23.2_KDE).
I tried disabling GUFW, but nothing.
Any solutions to suggest?

Thanks in advance.

guess it would be a good idea to mention what phone exactly you are about to connect to your PC. You try to use USB, or are you trying to connect via Bluetooth/Wifi/whatever?

Also when you connect the device to the PC, will there be lines added to the message log (call that via "sudo dmesg" a few seconds after you have connected your phone to the PC)?

you should see something like this (i just had connected my backup disk to the laptop, but a phone should "report itself" in a similar manner):

Effectively I did not specify that I was talking about wi-fi connection (I also updated the subject title)...
I use a Huawei P20 Pro

As I've written I tried this, GUFW is the graphical user interface for managing Uncomplicated Firewall. ;)
