The submitted form was invalid

#1 Post by yoshi »

I really have troubles to use the forum.
Even being logged in with "remember me" feature on the forum kicks me out from time to time and I need to re-login.
just to get the message
The submitted form was invalid
This is new to me (last few days) and happens on android (chrome and Firefox - and with cache deleted and incognito window)and on mx-21 Firefox.
browsers newest version, with VPN and without VPN.
with add-ons and without add-ons (incognito window).

did anything change in forum code?
what else can I try?

I did that - but still had the issue (mentioned in initial post)
I had the problem for 3 days - even opening this thread I had to re-login to submit the message.

addition: even trying to submit this message I had to try to re-login which worked after 10 tries - but my message was lost (luckily using the back button I could retrieve it!)
so this time I'll copy it before trying to submit...

I was going to say the same thing. Search for "mxlinux".

yes I did ("clear site data and cookies")
Even used chrome browser which I can't uninstall on android and never before used on the forum page....

so it seems it's only me, otherwise there would have been many ppl by now adding a "me too"
the only thing my phone and the laptop have in common is the internet connection (and of course username and password)
If the password were incompatible it wouldn't allow me to.use it I hope (I changed it when the trouble started, but didn't help)- and the internet connection with https and optionally VPN should be transparent and not cause any troubles.

My bet was browser, but different HW and OS and browsers coming up with the same message is weired.

Same error has shown for me from time to time. But clearing cache and cookies has corrected it. I happen to use Vivaldi Browser.

I haven't seen this when logging in, but I have often seen this happen when posting, but to replicate it:

1. Click on Full Editor & Preview
2. Wait for a while (usually several minutes to hours)
3. Attempt to hit Submit.

This gets that message, it seems to be some session-related timeout.
