MX23.1 KDE Live USB on a Macbook Air 2011

Help with the version of MX KDE officially released by the Development Team.
When asking for help, use Quick System Info from MX Tools. It will be properly formatted using the following steps.
1. Click on Quick System Info in MX Tools
2. Right click in your post and paste.

@jonno I ultimately solved the issue by replacing the old Air with a (barely) used Dell Latitude 7490. Just minimally larger than the Mac, works like a charm - and it has a battery time I previously could only dream of!
