Rofi for MX - guidance request

#1 Post by andymx »

I installed Rofi and the excellent Rofi Manager. I like it so far and I'm going to be using it over the next few days before I decide if I'll replace Ulauncher with it.

I was kindly directed to see viewtopic.php?p=710845#p710845 for additional configuration if I felt capable of using it. I read the Rofi Help in Rofi Manager and I'm trying to user a Pwermenu as described in the thread that I mentioned. However, my comprehension is very limited and I don't know if the thread being in Fluxbox complicates matters or not.

Is there a step by step guide (of the "explain like I'm five" kind) for installing the Powermenu and even more generally about using scripts?

First off, which setup do you mean with "Powermenu"?

For a general overview of how rofi works you can start with the documentation https://github.com/davatorium/rofi/blob/1.7.3/README.md

@Melber Thank you for the link. I'll read it and I'm hopeful that many of the questions in my mind will be answered.
